The Road to the May finale starts ..now!

Top 10

Let the games begin.

Pretty much the top ten is set to get paid no matter what at thispoint, so it really doesn’t matter who wins the trophy. I feel the IDOL’s know this and half of them with sleepwalk to the show finale with the super stars and surprise guests.
The Buzz is Hannah Cyrus Montana is a guest next month. Heads up now – I probably wont watch – I have musical standards.

Ramielle went first with Alone by Heart– Lil Ramie was under the weather but I feel she made me proud and kept her DJRR top 5 status this week. The family-- behind the scenes-- got old really quick for me and I only watched one. Do I want to see constant chit chat from Papa Joe and Katherine ..No (And if you get that you are truly a fan of DJRR..claim your prize..but I digress.) Little Ramielle brought all I needed for a successful Idol performance. Power vocals, remember the words, attitude, Short shorts and high heeled boots – two thumbs up for me dawg.

Jason – If this wasn’t Easter week I would say Damn this kid has a marshmellow brain. I quote " They say..I am an Aries" ...umm yeah! I say your's a stoned idiot..this can't be good for the "churen" Jason is getting paid now, so why are those dreds looking worst for the wear. Happy Birthday damn it, I hope we get the gift of seeing you gosh golly gee behind in the bottom 3 this week. I guess I can say something nice. Jason did Fragile by Sting. It was aiight. (Yawn)..Ooh wait, Simon said the performance wasn’t good enough for singing outside the subway…Teehee hee…Goofy#@!

************************************************************
I have to take fashion moment to pay yet a second homage to Ms Paula Abdul. Paula pulled out her long black gloves and baubles from her 1988 “Knocked out” video..Go Paula, Go Paula..Go Go Paula!

Syesha’s performance of “ If I was your woman” was neither stellar nor blazing hot like Randy proclaimed. Maybe I was still irritated by hearing her “baby cry” YET AGAIN during a pre performance set up. I noticed a lack of pronunciation of her words. Just okay for me.

What I like about Chekizie is that he dares to break one of the cardinal Idol rules of singing power songs from the best in the biz. He has done well with a few Whitney songs and tonight DARED to perform “If only for one night” which was remade into a classic by the late great Lutha Vandross. I liked it! He is still in the DJRR top 5.

The moshpit was a BAD idea. The gaggle of screaming tweens is too much for HD tv. Now if someone..say Jason falls into the moshpit..THAT would be great TV...just sayin'

Brooke sang Every breath you take. The judges actually praised her for restarting her song on live tv. I like Brooke and forgive her for last week. Brooke was seated at the piano but I couldn’t hear any keys..maybe it was a prop. LOL 2 thumbs up

Micheal Johns confused me …he sang two songs. Cheater! He started with “We will Rock you” and ended with “We are the Champions” He was good but he sang the best parts from two songs. (SIGH) I guess I liked it and will visit it from Itune. He cracked the top 5 this week….but only for this week.

Carly sang another one of my favorite songs from the 80’s “Total eclipse of the heart”. ( I grew up in the burbs ) I am sure Amanda would have sang it better but (sob). I like it better then last week.

We finally got to see a clip of “Archie’s” loud mouth pops. Although his mouth was shut during the family clip. It’s 11:30pm so my censors are turned off. WTF was that? I didn’t know the song. Since “Archie” was born well after I earned my DJRR credentials I was confused and unimpressed. His pops won’t be pleased after this show airs. (BLAH…..)

Oh the show was so good, I almost forgot Kathy lee was still on this show..maybe I block it out. I actually cheated and saw a yahoo blurb that listed Kristy Lee was one of the best. Crazy talk? I would NEVER admit that. Good move singing "God bless the USA" during an election year and while we are at war...b@tch! She will never leave.....I want Sanjaya 2 back. I guess she did blow Simon out of his socks, mine are still on.

OH NO HE “DIDN’T” ALL HAIL THE NEW AMERICAN IDOL.

Wait, Wait…has anyone EVER sang Michael Jackson on American Idol? No leg kick, white socks or crotch grabbing. Okay let me get it together! The KING of Idol Rock sang Billie Jean with a slow rock vibe. You go boy. A++ for originality, performance and style. A diet coke says the real MJ makes an appearance on the May finale. Once again the winner for the week. DAVID “Daughtry-who?” Cook. It’s now 11:53pm and I must have that on the IPOD tonight!
